There’s a lot of ways that knowing your ideal shoe size can help you while shopping for shoes. It can help you find the size you need faster, or even give you the option of ordering online. Below, you’ll find some helpful information on how to use a shoe size chart. You’ll also find shoe size charts that can be used for most brands for men, women, and children. These shoe size charts offer information on EU, UK, and US shoe sizes.
How to Use a Shoe Size Chart
To use a shoe size chart, you’ll need to measure your foot first. (You can find some helpful information on how to measure shoe size here.) You can use either inches or centimeters, but I find it helpful to have both pieces of information handy.
While we’ve provided base shoe sizes for men, women, and children below, you should note that there still might be a little variation between brands. Some shoe brands offer this information on their website, or even on product pages. This is especially helpful when you’re shopping for shoes online since you don’t have the same convenience of trying them on before you buy them.
It’s really easy to use a shoe size chart. Once you have your measurements, you find the column that has the inches (or centimeters) and look for your measurement. Then, the row going across will give you your shoe size. Our charts provide measurements in both inches and centimeters. They also offer sizes for US, UK, and EU brands.
How to Use a Shoe Size Chart for Width
While many kid shoe sizes aren’t available in a wider size, shoes for adults may come with variations in width. If you have an especially wide foot, than it will be helpful to know the circumference of your foot at it’s largest point, too. This is the bunion joint for most people, near the forefoot.
We included width charts for men and shoe width charts for women below. These are based on the average shoe size for the length charts. Something to keep in mind is that not all company’s offer wide sizes, or you might need to customize your order for the shoes. If wide shoes aren’t available, you can sometimes go to the next half-size up and the shoe will have a good fit.

Shoe Size Chart for Kids
This shoe size chart for kids can be used for boys or girls. This starts at early toddler stages and goes all the way up to larger kid sizes that most kids wear until their teens. After this, they’ll size up into adult men’s or adult women’s shoe sizes. Many brands do not offer wide sizes for kids. If your child needs wide sizes, then it might be best to go up to the next half-size so there’s a little more room in their shoe.
